The 2023 KBO League surpasses 5 million fans for the season.


The KBO has surpassed the 5 million attendance mark after 457 games (63.5% of the season) with a total of 42,361 fans in attendance at five stadiums over four days.


Attendance has been growing despite the hot summer weather as the battle for the middle and bottom of the standings continues to intensify. Since reaching 4 million on July 2, it has taken just 93 games to reach 5 million, the second fastest trend since the 10-team system began (2015). In 2016, it took 91 games to reach the 4 million mark.


The average attendance this season is 11,033, a 34% increase over the same number of games last year. The team with the highest average attendance per game is the Elgee (LG) Twins, who are currently in sole possession of first place. Their average home attendance is 16,228.
